Mirko Požar is the founder and CEO of Soltec, the manufacturer of the patented Agava pergolas. Mirko has started Soltec back in 1998 in Slovenia. He has more than 20 years of brilliant experience in the development of shading solutions, dinamic facades and balkonies. Mirko has graduated from the University of Maribor in 1992 with a degree in electrotechnics. From 1992 to 1998 he also received the economic degree in the same university. In 2012 Mirko got the MBA in business management from IEDC-Poslovna šola Bled. Mirko also has extensive volunteer experience. He was the president of the Construction Chamber of Slovenia from 2001 to 2017 and also made a significant input into the Slovenian construction industry laws.
